The Clowne Rock & Blues Club has the best blues based Classic Rock Bands in the area every Sunday night. Live music at the Clowne Community Centre between Chesterfield & Worksop, North East Derbyshire, every Sunday night from 9:00pm 'till 11:00pm. Less than 2 miles from the M1 Junction 30 at Barlborough. Reasonably priced drinks, usually with a choice of at least 3 cask ales & plenty of parking. Doors open from 8:00pm - Bands start at 9:00pm - Strict 11:00pm finish.

12th November John Verity Band£5 on the door
John Verity began his music career in the early 1960's playing in various UK bands. By 1970 he was living & touring in the USA supporting artists such as Jimi Hendrix, Mountain, Canned Heat, Savoy Brown, & Janis Joplin. Shortly after his return to England in '71 he was spotted by Rod Argent who was looking for a new lead vocalist for his band following the departure of Russ Ballard. John eventually joined Argent late in 1973 until they disbanded in late '76. The next few years were spent in recording studios throughout the world, producing, playing guitar or doing backup vocals with various acts including Motorhead, Tank, Ringo Starr, Russ Ballard, Colin Blunstone, Brian Connolly, John Parr, BowWowWow & The Searchers amongst many others. Since then JV has collaborated with numerous artists including Mike Rutherford, Keith Emerson, Greg Lake & The Zombies.

The Amelia Carter Band is an exciting new band to arrive on the Sheffield music scene. Amelia has been enthralling audiences with her strong passionate vocals, singing & playing with various Sheffield bands for a number of years, but now she has decided that it's time to lead her own band. With an eclectic but stylish mix of musical styles and influences, for the first time Amelia is able to fully explore the range of her voice, from powerful rock, through soft jazz to soulful blues.
26th November Ash Wilson Band£5 on the door
Regulars at Clowne Rock & Blues club from a few years ago will remember Ash & brother Phil(drums) from the very popular Lincolnshire band "The Melt". Touring & opening for such acts as Walter Trout, Mountain, Doctor Feelgood & The Animals, showed Ash, at the age of 17 was already a gifted guitarist, vocalist & songwriter. In 2014 he became a full time member of the Sean Webster Band. Being part of Sean’s band, Ash worked as a rhythm & lead player transforming Sean's live set. In 2016 Ash was asked to join Jesse Davey's Big Blues Band, co-writing & singing. 2017 sees the release of Ash's debut album "Broken Machine" featuring Phil Wilson on drums (Jesse Davey, Laurence Jones), Roger Inniss on Bass, (Chaka Khan, Laurence Jones) Bob Fridzema on Keys (KingKing, Dana Fuchs) & Jesse Davey (The Hoax). Now one of England's most distinctive vocalists, guitarists & songwriters in contemporary blues music, this is one gig not to miss!
